Jenny & Ben
Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park, Richmond
Richmond Park always amazes me. I can never quite get my head around the fact that there can a park inside the M25 that is 2500 acres, and has actual deer in it. Richmond Lodge is a beautiful wedding venue I have been to a number of times now. But even across the wider park, there are so many beautiful little spots to discover if you ever need to escape from London. None more so than the Isabella Plantation, nestled in the heart of the park.
It is absolutely stunning Victorian woodland plantation, famous for its ponds and streams lined with evergreen Azaleas which bloom in April to May. This provided a vibrant backdrop of colours for Jenny and Ben’s shoot.
Jenny & Ben are both actors, as I was for 5 years. It is a varied and incredible life, but one that comes with huge difficulty to survive and uncertainty. It’s really lovely to see both of them finding their rock to help them through together. We had a lovely time talking about our acting life. I will always look back fondly on that time in my life, especially as it ultimately led me to photography.
As for the shoot, Jenny and Ben made it a very easy process as you could see the love and fun they have together instantly, which is complimented by the vibrancy that was in bloom around them.
I love this photo of Jenny and Ben in amongst the bluebells. They are getting married in August 2018 and I am delighted to be photographing their wedding in Newbury.
But for the time being, congratulations on your engagement!
